Optional functions of Filling Machines for Single Serve Cup

When you are purchasing for a single-cup production line, what optional functions do you consider?

1. Vacuum Conveyor as Coffee Refiller Feeder
This device conveys and lifts the ground coffee by vacuum airway, then drops them into the filling machine's hopper. It uses compressed air as the source and sucks the powder into the top bucket, then opens the gate, releases the material, and drops it into the filling machine hopper. Then the drill inside the hopper spins to fill ground coffee into each cup.
It is small and convenient, and EXPAK chooses it as a standard coffee-feeding device. (EXPAK has added it to the standard price included, not optional)



2. Auto Screw Lifter Conveyor as Coffee Refiller Feeder
The screw conveyor is a mechanical way to use a screw inside a big pipe to lift the coffee and then into the filling machine hopper; you can see it has a bigger size ground tank, but as it is a mechanical drive, so it guarantees better coffee quality and keeps more aroma. The signal connection between the screw conveyor and the filling machine allows the conveyor to automatically keep delivering coffee to the machine hopper when the coffee level sensor detects that the coffee is below the recommended level line.
NOTICE: Recommended for espresso coffee as coffee is fine grinding, so by vacuum conveyor will lose more good aroma. At the same time, this screw system will keep the nice smell aroma of coffee to make a good espresso capsule.



3. Centrifugal Filling System
Most capsules use a compressed filling system. But for some certain products such as chocolate powder, instant powder, and cut tea leaf, the centrifugal filling system can be effectively completed, especially the unique design of the filling head makes it not leak when the powder is filled, causing the edge of the cup and the mold plate to be dirty. While the compressed type filler cannot avoid the leakage problem when it should not be filling, material escape from the compressed type filler still.



4. Auto Capsule Vibrator Sorter
Suppose you use none-stack type capsules, especially Dolce Gusto capsules. In that case, you buy small empty capsules from EURO suppliers, their capsules are most sorted, not stacked, but bulk packed in master cartons, so you need a sorter system to sort out each capsule and load them into the machine one by one automatically.
If your capsule is stacked, just choose our vertical or horizontal cup loading system.



5. Online Flavor Pump Dose System
It is a simple and highly cost-effective solution to help you drop precise flavor liquid (small drops like 0.05ml in each capsule) into every capsule online, usually after the coffee is filled (or before); this could replace the old mixing flavor powder tank with coffee. You don't need to wash and worry about flavor cross-contamination because you just need to change each syrup hose/pipe when you produce different flavored coffee.



6. Checker Weigher System online or Stand Alone Type
Check every capsule, and the customer can set a weight range; for example, the finished K Cup between 13.5g-14g is good capsules, and the machine will pass the good capsules to the next packaging.
And automatic refuse all other bad capsules (less than 13.5gram or over 14g); bad capsules will not be put on the belt but dropped into the Built-in trash bin of the machine.
There are two types of system; one is an online type integrated into the filling machine; the good side is it has 1 or 2 or 4, or 6 sensors to check each capsule simultaneously, while the accuracy is not extremely good.
The stand-alone is an individual weigher machine that can check every capsule, but the speed is lower and cannot catch up with the machine over 6-lane.

8. Customize Conveyor Belt and Flip-Flop Diverter
The conveyor belt can be customized by customer requirement, depending on customer packing area, workshop size, etc.

9. Voice Speaker Alarm System
To better tell the operator of what is happening with the machine, EXPAK provides this optional function with a real voice speaking to remind the operator, such as:
Please reload the coffee; please reload cups, etc. So the operator doesn't need to wait by the machine all the time to observe the situation every moment. And no need to ask the special operator what is wrong, but he/she can understand as the machine is telling real words what is needed.



10. Sealing Check system by Photo-electric Camera
As the name suggests, a filling and sealing machine is one of the important functions of sealing the cup/capsule. While we have check weigher to check the filling process, we also have a special function optional to check the sealing result, so we have a photo-electric camera; it is a high-speed camera to take many photos of each cup/capsule, ad then up uploads picture/photo to a central processing system and the system will diagnose and decide if the sealing is good or sealing is failed so that the dumper system can dump a bad seal cup. Only the good sealed cups will be delivered to later packaging.
